WATER TAXI REPLACED BY VIP BUS

Following recent flood impacts on the Fitzroy River, extensive repairs are now required to the boat ramp and new safety requirements have come into effect. As a result, the VIP Water Taxi service will not be operating at Rockynats this year.

But good news! Platinum ticketholders, Sponsors, Entrants and Buddies will enjoy a free, dedicated VIP Shuttle bus, running continuously between the CBD and the Burnout Precinct.

You can hop on the VIP Shuttle from:

  • 171 Bolsover Street in the city centre, or
  • The Burnout Precinct transport hub on Reaney Street, just a short walk from the entry gate.

VIP Shuttle operating times:

  • Saturday 18 April: 9:00am – 4:30pm
  • Sunday 19 April: 9:30am – 4:00pm

This service is exclusive to VIPs and is designed to keep your RN06 weekend smooth, simple, and stress‑free.

E-SCOOTERS

The bright orange E-Scooters will make travel between Rare Spares and Repco Rockynats Precincts a breeze! There will be allocated E-Scooter parking bays at each precinct.

Spectator Parking

  • Buddy’s Fire Burnout Precinct |  Donation parking at Rockhampton Cricket Grounds (on Goodsall St access via Lakes Creek Rd). Limited priority parking for VIPs, Entrants and Platinum ticket holders.
  • Showgrounds Precinct | Free on-street parking
  • CBD Precinct | Free on-street parking and free parking at 135 Alma Street carpark

Illegal parking, or parking causing an impediment for a local resident to access their home or business will be monitored and will result in a fine or the vehicle being towed (at owners expense).

Accessible Parking

There are a number of accessible parking spots available at all precincts outside the Road Closure.

Patrons must clearly display a current Government issued Disability Parking Permit to access these parking spots. Accessible parks will be monitored and enforced by Council Local Laws Department and will be signed appropriately.
