What is the date for Rockynats in 2027?
Friday 2nd - Sunday 4th April, during the Easter School Holidays (not the Easter long weekend).
When will tickets go on sale?

When is the street parade in 2027?
The street parade is on Friday 2nd April 2027 and free for the public to watch and enjoy.
Where is the event held?
Rockhampton CBD, Rockhampton Showgrounds and Northside Boat Ramp Precinct (Burnouts).
What accommodation is available?
Visitors to our region can experience a great diversity of accommodation options for Rockynats. From award-winning properties, self-contained apartments, more economical hotel rooms, camping, and even share housing on platforms such as Airbnb. Contact properties directly to secure your spot for next year’s event.
Can I collect my wristband before the event?
Absolutely! Beat the queues on event day with pre scanning ticket collection available during scrutineering. Keep an eye on your emails for more info as we get closer to the event.
Is Rockynats accessible?
Yes. Rockynats is mobility and pram-friendly between precincts with accessible parking, and free buses every 15 minutes.

How can I become an event volunteer or a motorsport official?

Will there be merchandise at this event?
Merchandise will be available at the event in the Burnouts, Showgrounds and CBD Precincts until sold out.
Will there be shuttle buses?
Yes, we will have shuttle buses again in 2027, details to come. Patrons must present their Rockynats wristband for access to this free service.
Where can I park my car?
Buddy’s Fire Burnout Precinct | $10 donation parking at Rockhampton Cricket Grounds (on Goodsall Street access via Lakes Creek Rd). Limited priority parking for VIPs, Entrants and Platinum ticket holders.
Showgrounds Precinct | Free on-street parking
CBD Precinct | Free on-street parking and free parking at 135 Alma Street carpark
*Illegal parking, or parking causing an impediment for a local resident to access their home or business will be monitored and will result in a fine or the vehicle being towed (at owners expense).
What are the accessible parking options?
There are a number of accessible parking spots available at all precincts outside the Road Closure.
Patrons must clearly display a current Government issued Disability Parking Permit to access these parking spots. Accessible parks will be monitored and enforced by Council Local Laws Department and will be signed appropriately.
What else can I do in Rockhampton?

Where is the best viewing spot for the Street Parade?
The best viewing of the Street Parade will be on the river side of Victoria Parade and Quay St.
Do you accept Companion Cards?
Yes, Companion Cards are accepted and receive a free ticket with the purchase of a general admission pass.
How much are tickets?
Ticket prices vary and can be viewed at www.rockynats.com.au/GetTickets
I can no longer attend. Can I get a refund?
As per our Ticketing Terms and Conditions, all tickets are non‑refundable and non‑exchangeable except in accordance with applicable laws.
Does a one day ticket get me into any day?
Yes! A one day ticket will gain you entry into the event across all three precincts for the day that you scan in.
Is there a VIP ticket and where can I buy it?
When tickets are on sale, Platinum tickets will be available online here.

Is there express entry at Rockynats?
Yes — wristband‑only lanes operate at all ticketing gates once scanned in.
Do you accept Concession Cards?
Yes. Concession tickets are available for eligible card holders. Platinum tickets do not have a concession option.
How do I use my family pass?
Family tickets are scanned four times to issue four wristbands. Please arrive together.
Are kids free?
General Admission: Children 12 and under are free.
Platinum: Children 3 and under are free.
Can I purchase a ticket at the gate?
No. There are no box office facilities on site. Get your tickets via OzTix.
I’m an entrant – how do I add a free kids ticket (12 years and under)?

How do I enter my car or bike?
Create or sign in to your profile in Street Machine Shed, add your vehicle to your garage and follow the Rockynats 07 entry steps. Your entry is managed through The Shed.
What can I take part in?
A Rockynats entry can include the Street Parade, Show and Shine displays, CBD cruising and dyno activities. Street Drags, Burnouts and Skid Row are optional activities and are subject to vehicle eligibility, scrutineering and available places. Street Drags & Skid Row are currently at capacity; however we have launched a waitlist that is open to all registered entrants for these activities. As spots become available, they will be offered to first on the list and so forth. You must to an registered entrant to join the list.
Where do I find the latest entrant documents?
Street Machine Shed is the home for current Rockynats 07 regulations and important entrant documents. Sign in to check the latest approved material and remain subscribed to Rockynats entrant communications for release notices and updates.
Who do I contact about my entry?
Email the entrant team at admin@rockynats.com.au. Include your name, entrant number if available, vehicle details and a short description of what you need help with.
How do I know my entry is complete?
Your entry is complete only when The Shed shows the required Rockynats 07 steps and payment as complete and you have received confirmation. If you have started an entry but have not received confirmation, sign back in to The Shed before starting another entry.
What is included in a standard entrant entry?
Entry includes your approved vehicle, event access for the entrant and the applicable buddy or pillion pass, an entrant pack, and access to the activities included with the selected entry product. Optional competition products are separate.
When and where is scrutineering for Rockynats 07?
Scrutineering is held at the Rockhampton Showgrounds before entrants take part, commencing Tuesday 30 March 2027. Your entered car or bike will be checked for event and competition requirements, and entrant accreditation and stickers are issued as part of the process. Rockynats 07 dates and appointment times will be released through Street Machine Shed and entrant communications.
Can I change my vehicle or add an activity after entering?
Sign in to Street Machine Shed first. If the change is not available in your account, contact admin@rockynats.com.au before purchasing another entry. Changes remain subject to approval, eligibility and availability.
Can I enter an unregistered car?
Unregistered vehicles may be eligible for Rockynats activities but cannot be driven on public roads outside approved closed-road event operations. They must be transported between accommodation and event venues unless the Rockynats 07 regulations state otherwise.
How do I apply for the Elite Pavilion?
Entrants with an approved Rockynats 07 entry can email admin@rockynats.com.au with their entrant number and vehicle details for judging-team consideration. Places are subject to selection and confirmation.
Where can I get fuel from in Rocky?
Speciality fuels can be purchased directly from Rockhampton distributors. Pre-ordering is recommended.

Can I bring a trailer or transporter?
Yes. Entrants bringing a large trailer or transporter should follow the Rockynats 07 arrival and trailer instructions. Contact the entrant team in advance so we can help arrange parking for your trailer and special access or scrutineering arrangements.
Do I need a motorsport licence?
Rockynats is sanctioned by Motorsport Australia and other permitted sanctioning bodies depending on the activity. Licence requirements vary by discipline. The current Rockynats 07 regulations in Street Machine Shed explain what is required and whether a licence is included with a competition product.
What should I bring to scrutineering?
Bring your entered car or bike, your valid driver or rider licence, your entrant number and any personal protective equipment required for your selected activities. Review the Rockynats 07 scrutineering requirements in Street Machine Shed before travelling.
What protective equipment do I need?
Protective equipment depends on the activity you enter. The Rockynats 07 regulations and scrutineering requirements in Street Machine Shed set the minimum standards for drivers, riders and passengers. Bring compliant equipment and check the published standards before travelling.
Who can travel with me in the Street Parade?
Every driver, rider, passenger and pillion must hold the correct event accreditation before entering the Street Parade form-up area. Passenger, age, seating and restraint requirements will be published in Street Machine Shed.
Can I buy a competition support vehicle pass?
Competition support vehicles are available for entrants competing in Burnouts, Street Drags, vehicles running methanol fuel and Elite Entrants only. If you meet these criteria, you’ll be eligible to purchase a Competition Support Vehicle Pass at time of scrutineering. This pass is $50 and limited to one per entrant.
Can I bring or store fuel?
At Event
Entrants may bring fuel and refuel onsite (standards apply) but must remove fuel after the event as storage facilities are not available.
Tent City
Limited storage of additional fuel (external to vehicle tanks/cells) is permitted. Fuel must be stored in containers meeting Australian Standards and QLD Government regulations. Total additional quantities must not exceed 250L per vehicle. Fuel must remain in the vehicle at all times and refuelling is not permitted.
During Street Parade
Refuelling is not permitted. If you run out of fuel, please await a tow truck.
Camping FAQs
Where are the campgrounds?
Camping grounds are located at Victoria Park, Brothers Cricket Grounds, 4 Graham Acton way, Wandal (adjacent to the Rockhampton Showgrounds)
When will I be able to camp and how do I check in?
Camping will be available to check in from 10:00am Tuesday 30 March 2027 through to latest check out at 10:00am Monday 5 April 2027 *Dates and times subject to change
On arrival into Tent City drive through the entry gates and stop at the entry marquee, the staff will scan your camping tickets, provide you with your passes and direct you to your campsite. You will not be able to check-in on behalf of all your guests – all campers must check-in with their own photo ID.
Camping wristbands must be collected when checking in to Tent City, these must be worn for the full duration of your stay. Only guests wearing the correct camping accreditation will be permitted access into the grounds. You’ll be issued with your camping vehicle access pass to Tent City on check-in. Cars will be issued with a dashboard pass. These passes must be visible at all times when entering and exiting Tent City. Camping and pre-collection of tickets starts on Tuesday 30th March 2027.
What are the Tent City site rules?
All campers must adhere to onsite 8km/hr speed limit, no alcohol, no amplified music, no generators, no animals (other than trained assistance dogs), no digging of holes, use of tent pegs must be no greater than 150mm, must adhere to onsite noise rules between 9:30pm and 7:00am, no unauthorised guests, maintain social distancing, no prohibited items.
How many people are permitted on my campsite?
We recommend 4 campers for a 6m x 6m site, 6 for a 6m x 12m site and 8 for a 6m x 18m site. Each person camping on your site will require their own camping pass to be able to access the campsite.
What times can I access Tent City in my vehicle?
Saturday and Sunday vehicle access is permitted between 7am and 7pm. Note the exit gate will close at 6pm Saturday and Sunday afternoon, with the entry gate becoming two way access. Should you arrive back to Tent City after 7pm, you’ll be able to access the grounds as a pedestrian, leaving your vehicle parked on the street.
Are there toilet and shower facilities onsite?
Yes! All campgrounds’ guests will have access to the showers and toilets onsite. Be sure to pack your own toiletries.
Can I bring a gas burner with me?
Rockynats camping facilities operate on a strict No Open Fires Policy.
Small gas BBQs and cooktops are permitted. All LPG bottles must be in good condition and within current stamped test date, LPG fittings must also be in good condition. Safety checks may be conducted and any unsafe items must be removed from the site. While fire extinguishers are available in the communal cooking areas, it is also recommended that you bring your own fire extinguisher/fire blanket for your individual campsite.
Is there on-site security?
There will be personnel onsite at all times during the day, with additional roving security onsite between 7pm and 7am each day.
Is there internet coverage at Tent City?
There will be no Wi-Fi provided at Tent City. There is a weak internet signal on site and it is advised you download or screenshot your camping passes and tickets before arriving.
Can I buy ice onsite?
There are no facilities to purchase ice on site, however the Wandal IGA is within a 10-minute walk and has ice available to purchase.
Are there food vendors at camping?
Yes! Each year a selection of food vendors will be available in Tent City as a breakfast option.
Can I smoke throughout the Tent City precinct?
Smoking is permitted in the designated smoking zone only.
Are pets permitted?
No animals are permitted into the campground with the exception of assistance animals, guide dogs and Police support dogs.
I have friends NOT staying at Tent City, can they visit me?
No. Strictly only glampers and campers are permitted in Tent City. All campers and glampers will be issued a wristband on check-in which will permit you re-entry. Anyone without a wristband will not be permitted on site.
Can I bring alcohol into Tent City?
You are not permitted to bring alcohol or glass into the precinct. There are two licensed venues, The Lionleigh Tavern and Rocky Sports Club, both within walking distance of the Tent City precinct.
What cooking facilities are available at Tent City?
Camping & Glamping guests have access to a Jumbuck Solid Plate 6 burner club BBQ, BBQ utensils, toasters, microwave, hot water urns within the communal hang out areas. There are also a number of dining options within a close proximity of Tent City, including Rocky Sports Club and the The Lionleigh Tavern.
Is glamping suitable for entrants or spectators?
Generally, glamping is reserved for spectators who don’t require trailers/entrant cars on site with them. If you need to camp with your cars, the camping option will be better suited for you.
What do I need to bring if I'm Glamping?
You will need to bring proof of your glamping tent or camping site booking and a form of photo ID. If you have not pre-booked bedding when reserving your glamping tent, you will also need to bring bedding (sheets and pillows).
Are the glamping tents waterproof?
If all windows and flaps are closed, the tents will be waterproof in typical rain. However, in extreme weather conditions and unusually heavy rain conditions, it cannot be guaranteed that the tents will remain 100% waterproof.
Local Businesses and Residents
Will the Street Parade impact my business?
There is an increased opportunity for community involvement with the Street Parade garnering amazing traction over the past six years. Some businesses along the route encourage their staff to enjoy the street parade during their lunch break! We are committed to working closely with residents and businesses impacted to minimise and mitigate as much disruption as possible whilst maximising opportunities for local businesses to benefit from the increased visitation in region. As with previous years, we will be hosting community consultation events as well as sending details via email to all businesses who have supplied their details to us.
Our full time engagement officer is also available to meet with anyone individually, and can be reached at rockynats@rrc.qld.gov.au to arrange a time to meet. If we don’t have your direct contact details, you can also send them to rockynats@rrc.qld.gov.au and be added to our stakeholder list.
How can I find out about the impacts on my business or residence during Rockynats?
The best way to find out about how Rockynats 07 will impact your business or residence in the CBD is to attend one of the Rockynats Community Consultation Sessions. How will I and others access my business or residence located in ticketed areas?
On Saturday 3 April and Sunday 4 April 2027, anyone wishing to access the CBD Precinct will require accreditation.
Information will be sent to all venues and businesses to distribute to any customers for bookings over that weekend. An Accreditation Survey for CBD Businesses and Residents will be available in 2027. This survey will ask you to advise how many staff/residents/vehicles need access to your premises during Rockynats 07.

How do I collect my accreditation?
You will be emailed when your accreditation pack is ready for collection from Rockhampton Regional Council Customer Service - 232 Bolsover Street, Rockhampton City.
What do I do if I lose my accreditation?
Passes are to be treated like cash.
Any individual that has lost their accreditation (wristband and/or Vehicle Access Pass) will need to contact the Rockynats Community Engagement Team via email at rockynats@rrc.qld.gov.au for approval of the new accreditation. Recipients will need to be able to provide photo ID at time of collection.
Can my business receive deliveries during Rockynats?
Access is limited over the event weekend, but deliveries can be facilitated on event days at the entry gates through the community engagement team.

If it's possible, rescheduling deliveries for before or after the event is preferred as access will be limited.
My business uses Uber Eats, Dinnerlog, etc - how can they access my business?
Meal delivery drivers for Uber Eats, Dinnerlog etc will be advised closer to the 2027 event on how to access the CBD so that they can collect food orders from your business. The Rockynats Community Engagement Team will provide all venues with this information that can be distributed to your delivery drivers.
When will the event road closures and bump in begin?
The CBD event bump-in is expected to commence March 2027, coinciding with partial and hard road closures and displaced parking management. The Rockynats Community Engagement Team will provide managed access for residents, businesses and their customers leading up to the event. Construction for the Northside Burnouts Precinct will also commence around this time.
Full closure details will be available on the website and in community sessions closer to the event.
At various times, traffic conditions will be altered and delays could be experienced. We work closely with Department of Transport and Main Roads, Queensland Police and Traffic Management Agencies to ensure this event can be carried out safely while minimising inconvenience to local residents and businesses. What road closures will impact my resident or business?
All road closure information will be updated closer to the 2027 event and communicated to the affected businesses and residents through a letterbox drop, if you believe you'll be impacted please join our mailing list to ensure you get all relevant communications.
What carparks will be impacted during the event including bump in?
A detailed map of road and car park closures in 2026 are outlined here. Details for 2027 are to be announced.
Where are the access points for me to enter into the CBD Precinct?
Businesses and residents will have a dedicated vehicle entry point for access into the CBD precinct. This entry point will be communicated along with any other available vehicle entry points as soon as the precinct site plan is finalised and available. As an employee or resident of the CBD, you will be prioritised at all spectator entry gates if congested. Please show your CBD business and resident pass (CBD Wristband) to security in order to be given priority access.
