CBD Community consultation

Our first Rare Spares Rockynats Community Consultation Sessions will be held on:

Session 1 | Wednesday 18 September 2024, 5:30pm – 6:00pm; 

OR

Session 2 | Thursday 19 September, 7:00am – 7:30am

Location: Walter Reid Cultural Centre Auditorium  (Corner Derby and East Streets, Rockhampton City)

CBD Precinct

During Rare Spares Rockynats 05 at the start of the Easter school holidays (4 April to 6 April 2025), we expect the CBD to be buzzing with entrants, supporters, spectators, officials, volunteers and contractors. 

The below schedule is an overview of expected event operating hours in the CBD (subject to change). 

Saturday 5 March 2025

  • CBD closes to general foot traffic at 6:00am
  • CBD opens to Entrants and Platinum ticket holders only from 8am
  • Spectator gates open 9:00am
  • Gates reopen to general foot traffic by 6:00pm

Sunday 6 April 2025

  • CBD closes to general foot traffic at 6:00am
  • CBD opens to Entrants and Platinum ticket holders only from 7:00am
  • Spectator gates open 9:00am
  • Gates reopen to general foot traffic by 5:00pm

CBD Car Park Closures

Please be advised that car park closures will be in affect for the Victoria Parade lower car park and Quay Street upper and lower car parks. 

CBD Business & Residents Accreditation  

The CBD Business and Resident Accreditation Applications for Rare Spares Rockynats 05 will be open  in February 2025. Find out more here. 

 

Is your CBD Business operating over Rockynats 05?

If your business is located in the CBD Precinct and will be open during Rare Spares Rockynats 05 , you will be required to complete the CBD Business and Resident Accreditation Application which will be available in February 2025.

All CBD Accreditation Packages will be available for collection from the 10 March - 21 March 2025, at ROCKHAMPTON CITY HALL - CUSTOMER SERVICE, located at 232 Bolsover St, Rockhampton QLD 4700. A notification will be sent out to remind you to collect at this time.

Help us help you - if you have additional information about being open across Rare Spares Rockynats 05, forward this information to the Rockynats Community Engagement Team rockynats@rrc.qld.gov.au with the below information by COB Friday, 1 March 2025.
