CBD FAQs

Rockhampton Regional Council and Advance Rockhampton are proud to have delivered Queensland’s biggest car festival Rare Spares Rockynats over the last four years. While we’re still awaiting 2024 visitation statistics, the previous three events recorded over 154,000 people and provided an economic impact of over sixteen million to our local economy.

We realise that major events such Rockynats impact usual operations and movement within parts of our community and will work hard to minimise and mitigate these as best as possible.

How will I access my business or residence located in the CBD?

An Accreditation Survey for CBD Businesses and Residents will be available in early February 2025. This survey will ask you to advise how many staff/residents/vehicles need access to your premises during Rare Spares Rockynats 05.

To allow for distribution of your passes you must complete this Accreditation Survey by the deadline date.

How does accreditation work?

Accreditation is required from 6am – 6pm Saturday 5 April to Sunday 6 April 2025.

An Event Accreditation Pass (wristband to be worn) will be issued to you for personal access during event time. A Vehicle Access Parking Pass (VAPP) will be issued for vehicle access. This pass must be visibly displayed at all times.

Passes are to be treated like cash. Any individual that has lost their accreditation will need to contact the Rockynats Community Engagement Team via email at rockynats@rrc.qld.gov.au for approval of the new accreditation. Recipients will need to be able to provide photo ID at time of collection.

How do I collect my accreditation?

To allow for distribution of your passes you must complete your Accreditation Survey by 5pm Friday 1 March 2024.

Collection of accreditation will be from Rockhampton Regional Council Customer Service - 232 Bolsover Street from 11 March to 23 March 2024.

What do I do if I lose my accreditation?

Passes are to be treated like cash. Any individual that has lost their accreditation (wristband and/or Vehicle Access Pass) will need to contact the Rockynats Community Engagement Team via email at rockynats@rrc.qld.gov.au for approval of the new accreditation.
