Rare Spares Rockynats is good to go

Published on 01 April 2021

Rockhampton Regional Council Mayor Tony Williams welcomed the announcement that the Greater Brisbane lockdown ended today at noon, instead of 5:00pm.

He says it will give Brisbane entrants and spectators who intend travelling to this long weekend's Rockynats the chance to start their travel to Rockhampton five hours earlier.

And while Greater Brisbane lockdown rules have eased, some restrictions remain for the next 14 days.

The Mayor urged everyone to follow normal social distancing rules and ensure they have a mask at all times with all details on the Queensland Health website

Rockynats

Staged in the heart of the city’s re-developed heritage riverfront district over the Easter long weekend (2-4 April), the Rare Spares Rockynats will feature a jam-packed program of cruising, burnouts, drifting, bikes, Show ‘n’ Shine and the wildest modified cars in the country.

Rockynats is Australia’s newest major motorsport event, presented by the same team behind the time-honoured Summernats in Canberra and the hugely popular Red Centrenats in Alice Springs.

The Rockhampton edition is presented by Rockhampton Regional Council, Naming Rights Sponsor Rare Spares and supporting precinct and event sponsors.
