WHEN IS RARE SPARES ROCKYNATS 04?

Head to Rockhampton  for Rare Spares Rockynats 04, Easter long weekend, 29-31 March 2024.

WHEN DO I GET MY ENTRANT TICKET?

We have good news for you, no need to go searching through your emails at the gate to find your entrant ticket. All you need to do is arrive at your nominated scrutineering time and have your entrant number at the ready. The friendly officials will ensure that you’re a registered entrant and you will receive your wristband, buddy pass and entrant goodie bag at scrutineering.

MY CAR IS NOT REGISTERED, CAN I STILL ENTER?

Yes, you can participate in everything including cruising in the CBD precinct. Unregistered cars can’t be driven to and from your accommodation or between venues. You must use a trailer / tow truck as normal road rules still apply. Please note that vehicles need to meet the minimum scrutineering requirements.

WHY IS IT MORE EXPENSIVE FOR ME TO PARTICIPATE IN BURNOUTS & DRAGS?

Rockynats is one of the best value multi-day car and bike festivals in the country. Your standard car entry gets you and a buddy into the event as well as your car and a support vehicle. Your bike entry gets you and your bike into the show. Car and bike entrants also receive a goodie bag that includes a T-shirt and commemorative licence plate, and bike entrants also get a commemorative patch.

For those entrants who choose to take the burnout or drag racing option, you get all these entry benefits plus you’re now competing for serious cash and prizes. There’s over $30,000 in cash and prizes for burnouts and $20,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs in drag racing. Your entry also includes the appropriate ANDRA or Motorsport Australia licence. Burnout competitors get a minimum of two burnouts in the schedule and drag racing numbers are limited to ensure ample track time for everyone.

CAN I BRING IN MY SUPPORT VEHICLE?

Rockynats are working on bringing a better entrant experience for all entrants. We will be in contact with all registered entrants closer to the event with the new support vehicle process.

DO LICENCE RESTRICTIONS APPLY?

Your state licence restrictions apply. Learner drivers are not accepted.

Entrants who hold a provisional licence that does not allow them to driver their vehicle on a normal road are permitted to enter Rockynats but are restricted to competitions only, and require a dual entrant who holds a full unrestricted drivers licence.

The dual entrant who holds a full unrestricted drivers licence is the entrant responsible for driving the vehicle to and from the competition area and at all other non-competition times, as the provisional licenced driver is not permitted to drive the vehicle at any time other than during competition.

I WANT TO BE IN THE ELITE HALL?

Awesome! Send an email to admin@rockynats.com.au with your approved entrant number. This request will be forwarded on to the Judging team for review and approval. You will be notified via email prior to the event if successful.

CAMPING, WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

Tent City is located at the Rockhampton Brothers Cricket Club (4 Graeme Acton Way, Wandal) in the heart of Victoria Park and a 1.7km walk to the Rockynats Drifting precinct and available for spectators and entrants, providing a great inner city accommodation option.

Check in will be Wednesday 27 March 2024 and check out will be Monday 1 April 2024.

Camping for Rare Spares 04 is available to book now.

CAN I NOMINATE FOR THE STREET PARADE IF MY VEHICLE IS UNREGISTERED?

Yes, however please note that the vehicle needs to meet the minimum scrutineering requirements for the Street Parade.

WHERE WILL TRAILER PARKING BE LOCATED?

Trailer parking will be limited. If you have a street registered car we recommend you drive it into the precincts.

We will have a limited amount of trailer parking at the Rockhampton Showgrounds and the Burnout Precinct at Callaghan Park. Trailer parking will not be permitted within the CBD precinct.

CAN I RUN SLICKS?

No, the track is an unprepped street track.

WILL THERE BE A FUEL STORAGE FACILITY AS GENERAL ENTRANTS AND FOR CAMPERS?

Entrants will be able to bring fuel in and refuel onsite (as we have standards around this) but they will need to take their fuel after the event as we won’t have storage facilities available onsite.

Limited storage of additional fuel (external to the fuel contained in a vehicle’s fitted fuel tanks/cells) is permitted in Tent City. All fuel must be stored in containers that meet the relevant Australian Standard for the type of fuel being stored and as per QLD Government regulations total additional quantities may not exceed 250L per vehicle. Fuel containers must remain within the contestant’s vehicle at all times and no refuelling of vehicles or equipment is permitted on site.

DO I NEED AN ANDRA OR MOTORSPORT AUSTRALIA LICENCE TO ENTER?

Rockynats is sanctioned by ANDRA & Motorsport Australia for different elements of the event. If you have either of these licences, great! Add them into your application form. Don’t have these licences? All good, they are covered in your entry fee.

DOES MY CAR ENTRY INCLUDE A BUDDY PASS?

Yes! One Buddy Pass is included with your entry. We have even included bike entrants to have a buddy pass for Rockynats 04!

WHY NO SCRUTINEERING TIMES ON FRIDAY?

•We need to have all entrants scrutineered prior to the event opening on Friday. Our last scrutineering time slot is Thursday night.

I DON’T KNOW MY NOMINATED ET TIME OVER THE 1/8TH TO FILL IN MY APPLICATION FORM?

Put a ballpark ET time in your application form, then reach out to ANDRA and they will be able to assist further, including providing information on any helmet and PPE requirements. Alternatively, our Street Drags will be around at scrutineering, have a chat to them.

I’M AN ENTRANT AND CAN NO LONGER ATTEND THE NEXT ROCKYNATS. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS?

Reach out to our admin team: admin@rockynats.com.au and we will let you know your options. Please note these options will be in line with the Entrant Terms and Conditions as agreed to upon entry.

WHEN I ENTERED, SOME COMPETITIONS WERE NOT AVAILABLE ON MY FORM. WHY IS THIS?

The allocated amount of spaces may have been filled for the competition. Or it could be that there is a program crossover and the system has recognised that you cannot be in two places at once. For example, Quay St Show on Saturday is at the same time as the Street Drags so these both will not be available.

I WANT TO BE ON QUAY ST, HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN?

When you’re filling out the application form, in the competition section nominate for the day you wish to be on Quay St. As we get closer to the event, the Judging Team will review all nominations and we will let you know early next year if your nomination was successful or not via email.

WHEN WILL MY ENTRANT ITINERARY BE SENT?

Closer to the event. If you are a registered entrant and you are looking for what competitions you’ve nominated for, log back into your entrant portal and scroll to the competition section.
