Roles Available

BURNOUTS

The Burnout Team will work under the guidance of the Burnouts Operations Manager and Burnout Venue Competition Manager to assist, inform and guide Rockynats entrants in their participation in and around the Burnout Pad. There will be a requirement for a number of volunteers to assist in the pre-staging checks (correct attire, driver and passenger waivers are signed, fire suits are being worn where required etc.), as well as other tasks as required.

*A Motorsport Australia General Officials Licence is required for this role. A link to the training will be provided to anyone that signs up.

FIRE RESCUE TEAM

 The Fire and Rescue Team are the trained Fire and Rescue Marshals stationed in fire vehicles, or on foot at areas and events as required. These areas include but are not limited to – Burnouts, Drag Racing, Drifting and Scrutineering. 

*A Motorsport Australia General Officials Licence and previous fire & rescue experience is required for this role.

GENERAL OFFICIAL

If you don’t have a preference for role or area, this is your best option. We will allocate these volunteers into positions that need to be filled.

MOTORBIKES

 The Motorbikes will work under the guidance of the Bike Manager to assist, inform and guide Rockynats entrants in their participation within the bike showcase area. Some of the tasks may include marshaling of bikes, assisting with biker games and other areas or tasks as required.

* Training will be provided where required.

SCRUTINEERING

Under the guidance of the Scrutineering Venue Manager, Chief Scrutineer and the Chief Steward, scrutineers will be required to check the Rockynats entrant vehicles to ensure they comply with the safety rules and regulations, as required for participation in Rockynats. Basic motor vehicle safety knowledge will be required to work in this role.

SCRUTINEERING ADMIN

Under the guidance of the Chief Scrutineer and Entrant Manager the admin team will assist in checking drivers licence and vehicle details, directing entrants, maintaining pedestrian safety as well as other tasks as required.

*Training will be provided where required.

SHOW N SHINE

Under the guidance of the Show n Shine Manager, team members will assist, inform and guide Rockynats entrants within the Show n Shine area.  Some of the tasks may include park up assistance, maintaining pedestrian safety, directing entrants and other areas or tasks as required.

STREET DRAGS

The Street Drags Team will work under the guidance of the Street Drags Venue Competition Manager, Meeting Director and ANDRA Chief Steward to assist, inform and guide Rockynats entrants in their participation at the Street Drags competition. Some of the tasks may include pre-staging checks, marshaling of cars within the staging area, track clean-up and other areas or tasks as required.

STREET PARADE

Under the guidance of the Street Parade Manager, the traffic and form-up teams will assist, inform and guide Rockynats entrant in their participation in the Street Parade. Some of the tasks may include marshaling of cars, assisting with form-up and traffic management, and other areas or tasks as required.
